Important things you need to consider

The number of cameras

When choosing a recorder, the first thing you need to consider, is the number of cameras you’ll be using. Recorders can support 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 or even 24 cameras.

Connection with a monitor

Afterwards you should choose if you wish to connect a monitor/tv to your recorder so you can watch live everything that occurs through your laptop or any computer. In case you connect your monitor, you should prefer a screen that supports HDMI in order to have the best quality of images.

Recording days

You should consider the amount of time you wish to record. Depending on the number of cameras placed, there should be a counterpart hard disk drive. As the amount of cameras and recording days gets bigger, the more you’ll need to have in your hard drive.

Remote control/access

If you wish yo have remote access to your cameras through your cellphone or tablet, you should choose a recorder that its application can be supported by your device. Then, you can remotely control your cameras using the DDNS service of DC Security.
